How does a 5K Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever?  Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.

You don’t need to be a fundraising expert to be successful at it – you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference.  Thanks to people like you, in 2009-2010 the SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate was able to invested $470,000 for education, screening and treatment services in 22 counties. Additionally, we invested $165,000 in breast cancer research. This year we’re aiming even higher! 

Take The Power of 10 Challenge! The program challenges every race participant to contact 10 people and ask for a donation of $10- its simple and an easy way to raise $100! If every Race participant raised an average of $100 over the registration fee, the Komen SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate would raise an additional $600,000. Together, we can save lives!

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you registered for the Race you automatically received your own fundraising website which can be personalized. Start now by logging in, and encouraging everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and make a donation on your behalf. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays right here in the local community! The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.

If you receive off-line cash or check donations, please fill out the appropriate form and send it in to ensure that your donation is properly credited. This form can be used for individual donations. If you are collecting donations to be credited to your team, please use this team donation form.

Looking for another great fundraising tool? This year we are offering our BE THE CURE car decals for sale! You can purchase decals from our office for $1/each, and then "sell" them for donations--you set the amount! We suggest selling them for at least $2 each, but you can ask for more!
