Belk Spring Charity Sale

Belk’s upcoming Charity Sale is a private four hour sale dedicated to supporting local non-profit organizations. Participating charities will have the opportunity to raise money for their organization by selling event tickets at $5 a piece—100% of ticket proceeds are retained by your charity—and ticket holders receive 20% - 70% off of Belk purchases storewide, including special savings on rarely-discounted brands.

Belk invites local charities, schools, and other nonprofit organizations to participate in its Spring Charity Sale on May 1^st. The last Belk Charity Sale held on November 7, 2009, raised more than $4 million for hundreds of participating nonprofit organizations.

Tickets are now available for sale at SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Beginning Friday, April 23^rd, tickets may also be purchased at Belk stores with all donations equally divided among the charities and schools in each local store. There is no limit to the number of tickets charities can sell, and no limit to the amount of money that can be raised.

In exchange for a $5 donation, customers will receive a ticket admitting them to the Charity Sale from 6am to 10am on May 1^st and entitling them to merchandise discounts ranging from 20 to 70 percent. Customers will receive $5 off their first purchase of $5 or more at the event, and Belk cardholders will receive double Rewards points for card purchases. Belk Elite cardholders will receive triple Rewards points for card purchases. In addition, the first 100 customers will receive free Belk gift cards ranging in value from $5 to $1000. Also, all participating charities and schools will be automatically registered to win one of three $1000 donations from Belk in a company-wide drawing.
